Significant Academic Events:

She went to a prepatory school in New Jersey. She later attended Vassar College and gained two degrees; one in math and one in science. After this, she got into Yale and received a master's and PHD in mathematics.

Contributions to Computer Science:

First, she made the Mark I, an extremely early computer. Second, Grace joined the Eckert-Mauchly Corporatoin and was involved in the invention of UNIVAC.UNIVAC was a commercial data-processing computer. Third, Grace created the first computer complier which led to her development of COBOL. COBOL was an early computer language.
