Brendan Eich

Significant Academic Events:

He went to the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign as well as Santa Clara University and Ellwood P. Cubberly High School. He got his bachelor's degree in mathematics and computer science form Santa Clara University as well as a master's degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. Eich was also given the Ecma Fellow award for his creation of JavaScript.

Contributions to Computer Science:

He created JavaScript, which is one of the most popular programming languages used to create dynamic content in applications such as Minecraft. Most browsers have a JavaScript engine to execute code. He started working at Netscape Communications Corporation in April 1995, where he worked on JavaScript. Later he helped found mozilla.org and then helped create the Mozilla Foundation. Mozilla was made with the intent of fueling incredible levels of revolution in the browser market. In 2005, he became the CTO of the new Mozilla Corporation and in 2014, he became the CEO. The Mozilla Foundation exists to support Mozilla while the corporation is a subsidiary of the foundation and integrates applications such as the Firefox web browser.

Date of birth: January 31, 1956

Significant Academic Events:

Guido received a master's degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of Amsterdam. He also received a bronze metal from the international mathematical Olympiad in 1974.

Contributions to Computer Science:

Guido first joined the Centrum Wiskunde & Information(CWI), working on ABC programming language. Later, he was employed by Google and spent his free time creating Python. Using his knowledge, from ABC, he was able to improve Python. Python allowed people to create software, task automation, websites, data visualization, and date analysis. His impact shaped the web as we know it today.

Significant Academic Events:

She went to a prepatory school in New Jersey. She later attended Vassar College and gained two degrees; one in math and one in science. After this, she got into Yale and received a master's and PHD in mathematics.

Contributions to Computer Science:

First, she made the Mark I, an extremely early computer. Second, Grace joined the Eckert-Mauchly Corporatoin and was involved in the invention of UNIVAC.UNIVAC was a commercial data-processing computer. Third, Grace created the first computer complier which led to her development of COBOL. COBOL was an early computer language.
